BCN Sports Film Festival

Date: from 19 to 27 February

 

This 2024 a new edition of the BCN Sports Film Festivalreturns, being already the 14th edition of the festival, was born in 2010 to teach how to enjoy and learn through sport. It is the International Festival of Cinema and Sports Television, and covers all audiovisual productions focused on or inspired by a sports theme, with a limit of 90 minutes.

This year, the festival will have a hybrid format, that is, will have face-to-face screenings, and other through an online platform. Those in person will take place in a different spaces of the city, in which the best films of what is considered the best sports cinema today will be screened. The organizers of the event are the Fundació Barcelona Olímpica and the FICTS, Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs.

The films will take place in different spaces in Barcelona, such as the Centre Cívic de Cotxeres de Sants. Remember that Aerobús stops in Plaça Espanya, Urgell, or Plaça Catalunya, where you can take the L1 of the metro to Plaça de Sants to get there. But do not forget that this is just one of the many places where the new edition of the festival will take place.

From 19 to 27 February, different films will be screened with a program for days, from which you will have to book the entrance of those you want to see. You can access the programme by clicking here.

In addition, they also have school sessions of the BCN Sports Film, with the aim of make them reflect on issues such as immigration, health, stereotypes, harassment, performance or gender diversity. Access to online sessions is free, with a prior request, and can be accessed from January 15 to March 30.
