One of the most eagerly awaited shows by the great Cirque du Soleil is back. From Thursday 27 March to Sunday 6 April you can enjoy the great show at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.

This time the great circus is performing with its classic show called Corteo (which means courtship in Italian), a show that includes values such as strength, vulnerability and imagination, which seeks to represent a space between heaven and earth.

The show combines lyrical and playful music, and contrasts the grand and perfect with the more intimate, tragic and imperfect. All this makes Corteo a journey through a timeless celebration in which illusion mocks and plays with reality.

The plot of Corteo brings together two totally different concepts in one, combining death and humour. Mauro, the dreamy clown and protagonist of the show, imagines what his funeral would be like in a festive and carnival atmosphere surrounded by angels, and remembering everything he has lived through, he meets up with various characters from his past to celebrate his life.

Mauro reflects strength, nostalgia and fragility, as well as wisdom, kindness and goodness, showing the humanity within ourselves. Thanks to his imagination, Corteo becomes a festive parade, a joyful procession.

Corteo’s cast includes an ensemble of 51 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from around the world, making it a show with a global presence, which is also performed internationally, reaching places such as Australia, New Zealand, Germany and France, among many others.

Corteo is a show suitable for families and people of all ages, and lasts 125 minutes (with a 25 minute intermission), a set of minutes that will leave you speechless. The audience will enter a world of fun, comedy and spontaneity like never before.

Remember that all children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In addition, children between the ages of 2 and 12 receive a 20% discount on admission, and children under the age of 2 can enter free of charge, as long as they do not occupy a seat.
