What is it?

The 48H Open House Barcelona is a weekend event in which more than 250 buildings of different types (private homes, offices, urban facilities, historic buildings, infrastructure) open their doors to the public. This On 25th and 26th October, come in and discover the secrets of the city’s most iconic buildings.

The initiative aims to foster architectural curiosity, bring urban heritage closer to the public and highlight what is not usually seen.. This activity has many advantages and is well worth doing.

  • It is free in most places (although some require prior registration).
  • It allows access to places that are normally closed to the public or little known.
  • You can explore Barcelona and its metropolitan area from a different perspective: observing, learning, photographing.
  • It is ideal whether you are a resident or just visiting, because it allows you to see the city ‘from the inside’.
