Barcelona Marathon
On Sunday 16 March, the Barcelona Marathon will be held with a total distance of 42.1km that covers the entire city and its many streets and neighbourhoods.
St. Patrick’s Day
As every 17th March, St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated and some bars and pubs in Barcelona celebrate it in their premises by preparing themed parties with different Irish-style events.
Sant Josep Oriol Festivities
From 15th to 23rd March, the Festes Majors de Sant Josep Oriol are held in Barcelona, a festival in which most of the events that take place are performed by the Giants of Pi, one of the oldest in Catalonia: Mustafà i Elisenda.
Watching a football match
Take the opportunity to go and watch a football match, whether it’s FC Barcelona at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, or others. Spend a different afternoon or evening than usual, and experience the excitement of a match first hand.
See a play or a concert
Barcelona is full of theatres and theatres where all kinds of plays are performed, so there is something for everyone’s tastes and preferences. Obviously, if you are in Barcelona, you cannot miss its famous and incredible monuments such as the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, among many others that the city has. None of them will leave you indifferent, as you will be amazed.
Stroll through Barcelona
And, last but not least, don’t forget to go for a walk and get lost in the streets of Barcelona, discovering new and surprising places. You can stroll along the seafront promenade and watch the sunset to make the walk something enchanting, or even go to the city centre and go shopping.
