Barcelona has once again cemented its position as a capital for major international events. From 2 to 4 February 2026, the city will host a new edition of Barcelona Wine Week (BWW), the leading trade fair for Spanish wine, making Barcelona a key meeting point for wineries, experts and buyers from around the world.
Held at the Fira de Barcelona – Montjuïc exhibition centre, Barcelona Wine Week is not just a trade fair, but a true showcase for the present and future of the wine sector.
What is Barcelona Wine Week?
The 2026 edition will bring together more than 1,300 wineries from across the country, representing more than 85 designations of origin and quality seals, in an exhibition space covering more than 10,000 m².
A trade fair designed to generate business and knowledge
The main objective of Barcelona Wine Week is to connect producers with national and international buyers, especially from strategic markets such as Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Asia.
Beyond the commercial exhibition, the event offers:
- Guided tastings and exclusive presentations
- Conferences and round tables on industry trends
- Discussions on sustainability, innovation and the future of wine
- Meetings with international winemakers, sommeliers and experts
The 2026 edition focuses on the human factor, highlighting the legacy of generations of winegrowers and winemakers who have built the identity of Spanish wine, without losing sight of the new challenges facing the sector.
Barcelona Wine Week and the city
During the fair, Barcelona also celebrates wine outside the exhibition halls. Through the ‘BWW Likes the City!’ programme, restaurants, bars and gastronomic venues across the city join in the celebrations with special offers, pairings and tastings, bringing wine culture closer to the urban public.
This connection between the fair and the city reinforces Barcelona’s role as a gastronomic and cultural destination during the winter.
